Menu & Meals

Meal times are an important time of day at Chabad Glen Eira Creche. Our cooks prepares nutritious and delicious meals on site. From early in the morning the delicious aromas from the kitchen fill the air and create excitement for the meals ahead.

Our educators ensure that mealtimes are relaxed and enjoyable. They are not just about eating but also valuable learning opportunities for socialising and language development. Discussions about food and its origins, nutrition, cultural food differences and similarities are encouraged.

Accreditation & Awards

Preparation of food and correct food handling techniques are extremely important to us. Our cooks are trained in food handling and are accredited food supervisors. All our staff handling food have a Certification in Food Safety,

We are proud to have been awarded the 5 Star Food Safety Rating by the local Council as well as perfect scores on our compulsory annual external audit every year since we opened our centre..

Our Healthy Menus

We follow the guidelines of the Australian Government recommended “Get up and Grow” Program so that our meals are balanced (especially as we are a milchig (dairy) centre and do not serve meat products).

Our aim is to provide tasty, appealing and nutritious meals so the children will enjoy eating. Menus are re-developed every season to incorporate seasonal fruits and vegetables.
